Improving the Golf Course

Latest Update

July 16, 2026

Two Weeks In-and Pine Ridge Is Already Changing

It is hard to believe that the new Pine Ridge team has only been in place for two weeks. In that short time, work began throughout the golf course, driving range, clubhouse and restaurant.

Thank you to everyone in the Pine Ridge community for your patience, enthusiasm and support. Here is a look at the progress already taking place.

Improving the Golf Course

New Golf Course Leadership

Pine Ridge has welcomed its new Golf Course Superintendent, Greg Fox, who has immediately begun addressing several of the property's most important maintenance and conditioning needs.

Irrigation Repairs

More than half of the irrigation heads throughout the property were found to be broken. Repairs are now well underway and nearing completion.

The driving range irrigation project is also nearly complete, helping prepare the range for the improvements that will follow.

Bunker Renovations

Renovation work has begun on the golf course bunkers as part of the broader effort to improve course conditions and the overall playing experience.

Tree Removal and Turf Restoration

Beginning July 20, approximately 450 trees are scheduled to be removed from areas throughout the golf course. Many of these trees have prevented sunlight from reaching tee boxes, rough areas and green surrounds. Their root systems have also absorbed significant amounts of water before it could reach the turf.

Once the tree and root removal work has progressed around the green complexes, hydroseeding is expected to begin in late August to restore and strengthen these important playing areas.

The Driving Range Is Moving Forward

Covered Tee Line and New Technology

The technology for the new driving range has been ordered, along with the covered structure that will protect the tee line. Subject to the installation schedule, Pine Ridge is targeting September for the opening of the fully covered, technology-enhanced range.

New Computerized Ball Dispenser

A computerized driving range ball dispenser is scheduled to be installed during the second week of August. The new system will make purchasing and receiving range balls faster and more convenient while integrating with the inrange technology planned for the facility.

Clubhouse and Restaurant Improvements

New Landscaping

New flowers and landscaping are scheduled to be installed around the clubhouse beginning the week of July 20, creating a more welcoming arrival experience for golfers and guests.

Restaurant Soft Opening

Renovations to the Pine Ridge restaurant are nearing completion, with a soft opening currently targeted for Saturday, July 25. The opening weeks will allow the team to become familiar with a new kitchen, menu and point-of-sale system. The restaurant experience will continue to be refined as the team settles into the new operation.

Founders Club Members Patio

The new Members Patio is also scheduled to open only July 25 for the exclusive use of Pine Ridge Founders Club Members.

Golf Instruction Has Arrived at Pine Ridge

Golf Channel Academy with Kelley Brooke has officially launched junior and adult instructional programs at Pine Ridge. Programs include the new Evening Eagles junior program, adult clinics and supervised practice sessions. Golfers of different ages, abilities and experience levels can now receive professional instruction directly at the club.

New Golf Cart Technology

The first shipments of new GPS systems for the Pine Ridge golf carts are scheduled to begin arriving during the week of July 20. Installation will take place in phases. Once completed, the GPS systems will provide golfers with helpful on-course information and support several of the new amenities being introduced at Pine Ridge.

Halfway House Improvements

The Halfway House bathrooms are substantially complete, with only minor painting and finishing work remaining. Automatic keypad locks will be installed, with access codes displayed conveniently through the GPS screens on the golf carts.

Robotic Food and Beverage Delivery

The new robotic food and beverage delivery units are already on-site, and the golf course has been professionally mapped in preparation for their use.

Delivery service will begin after the restaurant is fully operational and GPS systems have been installed throughout the golf cart fleet. Once launched, golfers will be able to order food and beverages for delivery on the golf course without significantly interrupting play.

Please Help Us Protect the Course

While this work continues, golfers are asked to remain on cart paths near greens and tee boxes and to avoid driving through sensitive turf areas.

The Pine Ridge team is investing considerable time, effort and resources into restoring course conditions. The cooperation of every golfer will help protect that progress and allow the improvements to take hold.

A Message From Kelley

"We're only getting started. Every day, you'll continue to see new improvements throughout the property, and over the coming months Pine Ridge will continue transforming into one of the premier golf experiences on Long Island."
