Who else loves this time of year? Yes, we all miss the summer temperatures, but how can you not love the holidays? I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving celebrations; mine consisted of eating and sleeping, I'm living the dream. Thanksgiving is a great time to reflect on what we're all thankful for and who we're thankful for. Now that Thanksgiving is gone it's time to think about the other holidays - now you get to show the people you're thankful for some love and give them some gifts!
The holidays aren't all about the material things, though. Spend some quality time with your family; make hot chocolates and sit around the couch and talk about everything. The holidays are when everyone finally gets together again. People move away, people are busy with work, people have children to take care of - enjoy this rare time when you all get to be in the same place at once.
In addition to all this, think about the needy this holiday season, too. There are plenty of people who are in situations where they can't celebrate the holidays to the fullest extent. Check out your local libraries or community centers, there are plenty of ways to help the less fortunate this time of year. There are numerous 'Angel Tree' programs where you can give a gift to a child in need; it's a nice gesture that goes further than you could imagine.
Enjoy your holidays everyone - it's a special time of year, make the most of it!
