Some members of our Junior League and I attended the US Open practice round on Wednesday. It felt surreal to be standing on such famous grounds surrounded by the biggest names in golf. The first thing we did when we arrived was head to the Lexus tent. Each of the kids took turns trying to make a putt that awarded a prize if you sank it. This wasn't just any putt - it was a replica of the putt that Tiger Woods made on 18 at Torrey Pines at the 2008 US Open. Only one of our juniors was able to sink the putt - it looks easy but it's a very deceptive putt and hard to read. After hanging out in the Lexus area, we moved towards the driving range and ended up by the clubhouse. The players were coming off the course and were signing autographs - our juniors got some awesome autographs and had a blast meeting the pros. The juniors got Brooks Koepka's autograph - little did they know that it'd be the winner's autograph!
