Pine Ridge Is Already Changing

It has only been a short time since the new Pine Ridge team arrived, but improvements are already taking shape throughout the golf course, driving range, clubhouse and restaurant.

We know there is still much more to accomplish, and we appreciate the patience, enthusiasm and support of the Pine Ridge community as we continue moving forward. Here is a look at the progress already taking place.

Pine Ridge Restaurant — Now Open

Renovations to the Pine Ridge Restaurant are complete, and the newly refreshed restaurant is now open.

Guests can enjoy the updated dining space, a new menu and a welcoming place to relax before or after a round. The opening marks another important step in the continued improvements taking place throughout Pine Ridge.

Improving the Golf Course

New Golf Course Leadership

Pine Ridge has welcomed its new Golf Course Superintendent, Greg Fox, who has immediately begun addressing several of the property's most important maintenance and conditioning needs.

USGA Course Evaluation & Improvement Plan

To help guide the next phase of golf course improvements, Pine Ridge has engaged the USGA to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the course and provide recommendations for improving playing conditions as quickly and efficiently as possible.

The USGA team will assess the property, identify the areas requiring the greatest attention and help establish a clear order of priorities. Their recommendations will give the Pine Ridge team an expert, objective roadmap for determining where time, resources and investment can make the greatest immediate impact.

Rather than relying on guesswork or addressing projects individually, this evaluation will help ensure that the work underway— and the improvements still to come—are part of a thoughtful, prioritized plan for the golf course.

Irrigation Repairs

More than half of the irrigation heads throughout the property were found to be broken. Repairs are now well underway and nearing completion.

The driving range irrigation project is also nearly complete, helping prepare the range for the improvements that will follow.

Bunker Renovations

Renovation work has begun on the golf course bunkers as part of the broader effort to improve course conditions and the overall playing experience.

Course Restoration & Turf Recovery

Beginning July 20, targeted restoration work will take place in selected areas throughout the golf course to improve sunlight, airflow and water availability for the turf. Overgrown vegetation and root systems have limited healthy turf growth around several tee boxes, rough areas and green surrounds.

As this work progresses around the green complexes, hydroseeding is expected to begin in late August. This next phase will help restore, strengthen and improve these important playing areas.

THE DRIVING RANGE IS MOVING FORWARD

Covered Tee Line and New Technology

The technology for the new driving range has been ordered, along with the covered structure that will protect the tee line.

Subject to the installation schedule, Pine Ridge is targeting September for the opening of the fully covered, technology-enhanced range.

New Computerized Ball Dispenser

A computerized driving range ball dispenser is scheduled to be installed during the second week of August.

The new system will make purchasing and receiving range balls faster and more convenient while integrating with the inrange technology planned for the facility.

CLUBHOUSE AND RESTAURANT IMPROVEMENTS

New Landscaping

New flowers and landscaping are scheduled to be installed around the clubhouse beginning the week of July 20, creating a more welcoming arrival experience for golfers and guests.

Golf Instruction Has Arrived at Pine Ridge

Golf Channel Academy with Kelley Brooke has officially launched junior and adult instructional programs at Pine Ridge.

Programs include the new Evening Eagles junior program, adult clinics and supervised practice sessions. Golfers of different
ages, abilities and experience levels can now receive professional instruction directly at the club.

New Golf Cart GPS Technology — Installed

GPS technology has now been installed in the Pine Ridge golf cart fleet, giving golfers helpful on-course information right from their cart.

The new systems are part of the continuing technology upgrades at Pine Ridge and will also support additional on-course services being introduced for golfers.

Halfway House Improvements

The halfway house bathrooms are substantially complete, with only minor painting and finishing work remaining.

Automatic keypad locks will be installed, with access codes displayed conveniently through the GPS screens on the golf carts.

Robotic On-Course Delivery — Now in Service

Pine Ridge's new robotic delivery units are now ready to serve golfers on the course.

With the course mapped and the new golf cart GPS technology in place, the robots can deliver food and refreshments directly to golfers on the course, helping them enjoy added convenience without significantly interrupting their round.

This is another example of the new technology and amenities being introduced to enhance the Pine Ridge golf experience.

PLEASE HELP US PROTECT THE COURSE

While this work continues, golfers are asked to remain on cart paths near greens and tee boxes and to avoid driving through sensitive turf areas.

The Pine Ridge team is investing considerable time, effort and resources into restoring course conditions. The cooperation of every golfer will help protect that progress and allow the improvements to take hold.

A MESSAGE FROM KELLEY

"We're only getting started. Every day, you'll continue to see new improvements throughout the property, and over the coming months Pine Ridge will continue transforming into one of the premier golf experiences on Long Island."
